Christmas Morn

We moved the piano out of the "fireplace" and set out cookies and milk for Santa before going to bed on Christmas Eve.  This was our first year of doing "Santa" as I had gotten a special edition of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas for Cadence a couple days ago.  I'm not sure that she actually gets who Santa Claus is, but she was cool w/ the whole cookies and milk thing.  Plus she went to bed since Santa knows when we're sleeping or when we're awake.

And this is what we found the next morning instead of the cookies.  I guess Santa likes TJ's orange and cardamom cookies!

Cadence was so excited to find that Santa actually left presents for her under the tree!

She loved her present from Uncle Charles and Auntie Ali in Seattle.  This was a ukelele that Cadence had played with during our visit there in September.  Now she can learn to play it here at home, and maybe she and Auntie Ali can do a duet the next time we see her!

She also loved the Sound of Music collector's box set that Uncle Jim gave her.  She calls it the spinning movie (because of the opening scene on top of the hill).

And Ted liked his present from me--an official Obama fleece jacket!  He'll be the envy of all his friends!  I got this for him because he was so sad when he lost his Obama ski hat.

Hope y'all had a lovely Christmas!
