My Brown Eyed Girl

Whenever I look at photos like this one, it's hard to believe that such cuteness could be capable of such downright orneryness.  Let's just say that being a mommy is harder than usual these days.  Maybe it's the stress of the holidays or the freaky weather we've been having.  I find myself saying and doing things as a mom that make me cringe in retrospect.  Cadence has an abundance of personality, that's for sure, and I guess I should be thankful for her strong-willed and opinionated qualities, as I keep saying I don't want to raise an automaton who merely follows orders and sticks to the status quo. 

Sometimes, though, I really want to eat my words.

I understand exactly where you are coming from. My brown-eyed girl is starting to be very opinionated too.

My brown-eyed girl is very opinionated. But, that's what you get for raising a good kid. A cute one at that!
